March 3. 1940
Just returned to Camp this very minute after having travelled some 600 miles.
I must admit my camp room looks and feels quite comfy, after such a long ride.
I am now a full fledge member of Wales most famous Regiment The Royal Welsh Fusilliers. I was initiated on St. David’s day. Attended one of the year’s best banquet, was called on to answer the toast to Canada, received a great ovation, before and after the speech.
It is now 1245 hrs, and now ready for bed.
Will write you tomorrow Sending June cards of the place.
Lots of love
